Meet the Family
Vicky and Rob have both been in the restaurant trade for a number of years and have now decided to take on the Nant y Felin together to create their family business.
Rob is a very passionate chef with the motto ‘simple execution of good technique.’ He’s been in the trade for over 25 years working in a variety of high end food establishments, always with an emphasis on fresh homemade food.
Vicky is local to the village of Llanrhaeadr, having lived in Ruthin for the first 20 years of her life and then in the surrounding villages since – always calling Ruthin ‘home’.
Our Food & Drink
Rob is a keen forager, therefore most of our garnishing herbs are grown and picked from our garden or sourced carefully from our local environment.
We bake all of our bread in house, including our popular sourdough which is nurtured and baked daily. We also make our own ice cream by hand on the premises, including flavours such as rhubarb ripple, nougat and marmalade!
Our menu consists of a large amount of gluten free options and we are also happy to cater for any other dietary requirements if made aware in advance.
We believe in the quality of Welsh produce, so we use CLD Meats of Denbigh to supply all of our meat as they can tell us exactly where it has come from – which is often a local farm.
We also serve a fine selection of beers, wines and spirits, including our very own Nant y Felin Pilsner on tap.
